The Company
Black Range Minerals is an Australian Stock Exchange-listed company focused on growth through acquisition, exploration and development of energy projects.
The Company is focused on bringing its advanced, high-grade Taylor Ranch Uranium Project in Colorado, USA towards production.
The Company has delineated a JORC Code compliant resource base of more than 50 million pounds of U3O8 at its Taylor Ranch Uranium Project. It is working to consolidate ownership of the uranium deposits in the immediate vicinity, where resources amount to more than 100 million pounds of U3O8.
The Company recently acquired a 100% interest in the Jonesville Coal Project in Alaska, USA. From 1920 until 1968 approximately 5Mt of clean coal was recovered through mining at the Jonesville project. Approximately 130Mt of high quality thermal coal remain at the project. The Company is assessing the further work required to allow it to evaluate the recommencement of mining at this project.
The Company also holds interests in three other uranium projects in the USA – the Cyclone Rim and Eagle Uranium Projects in Wyoming, USA, and the Keota Uranium Project in Colorado, USA.
The Company is constantly assessing other investment opportunities, including the acquisition of additional quality projects, in the resources sector.
The Company is well financed, with approximately AUD$8.5 million in cash at the end of March 2009.
